RESPONSIBILITIES:Design, develop and extend NIM’s core suite of map data and content toolsAssist with design and development of database schema and entity diagrams.Interact with data providers to manage content deliveryPerform standard lifecycle development duties from design to deployment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

· Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Sciences or related field.

· 2+ years of hands on development experience in a commercial software server development environment.

· Experience with all phases of product development lifecycle, including prototyping, test and product release and sustaining engineering.

· Strong experience in C or C++

· Strong experience with UNIX operating systems for development and basic administration.  (Linux experience a plus.)

· Working knowledge of XML, threads and debugging practices.

· Desire to engage in challenging assignments.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong collaborative skills.

· Self-managed proactive work style.  Able to work well independently and in a team environment. Dedicated hours are expected.

A plus:

· Experience with GIS systems or content feed management

· Experience with Python

· Experience with Oracle or Postgres

· Experience with PL/SQL

· Experience with Linux
