Software Engineer with CA Software Specialty – Reston, VA

ABOUT THE POSITION

 

Supporting IBM Engineering objectives; responsible for work that requires advanced level of skills and knowledge in the areas of Operating Systems.  Installation, maintenance and problem solving of a large number of Computer Associates program products, as well as tools and utilities from other 3rd party software vendors.  Functions as a technical advisor to the user community and the manager using specialized knowledge within fields of responsibility.

 

 

REQUIREMENT - Strong candidate will have the following skills: 

 6- yrs Technical experience in computer systems, or  code developmentAdvanced level of skills and knowledge in Computer Associates Software (CA1, CA7, CA11, ACF2, etc).  Experience in JES2, ThruPut Manager and Compuware Software helpful.  Knowledge of IBM Assembler language and at least one high level language required.  Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
