Software Engineer / .NET Visual Studio Developer

TransCore, a subsidiary of Roper Industries, Inc. (NYSE: ROP) is seeking a full-time Software Application Engineer III (Senior .NET Visual Studio Developer) to join the IT Team in Oklahoma City, OK. 

 

The Software Application Engineer/ Snr .NET Visual Studio Developer is responsible for efficient use of the application software – specifically Visual Studio development and stored procedure development in SQL Server.  They ensure that all of the components, including databases, existing production application, third party software, and network fit together and work properly.  Furthermore, they monitor and adjust performance of existing developed application and continually survey the current site to determine future needs.  They also troubleshoot problems as reported by users, use monitoring systems and make recommendations for enhancements to the software application. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 .NET Visual Studio development including C#.NET, ASP.NET and VB.NETSQL Server 2000/2005 jobs on both the production and the test environment – working with large data setsDevelopment/modification of customer reportsC# programmingVisual Source Safe Configuration Management or other CM toolsMaintenance on all serversWindows updates and Virus updatesSystem troubleshooting, problem identificationClient Server relationships

 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

 4+ years professional experience developing and maintaining solutions in C#.NET, ASP.NET and VB.NET based on nTier architecture and complete SDLC experience.4+ years professional experience utilizing SQL Server 2000/2005 for data storage in large-scale.NET solutions.Knowledge of build/deployment tools3 years of Windows O/S4 years .NET C# development experienceAble to work as a team memberGood verbal, phone, and written communication skills

 Education:  BS Degree in Software Engineering (or similar) or equivalent experience or certifications.
