Software Engineer (.NET, C# and SQL Server)

The Software Engineer will analyze, design, program and test computer software programs and applications. The Software Engineer works closely with Business Analysts, Systems Analysts and Quality Assurance to assess, enhance, maintain and support software solutions to business problems. Using strong logic, computer language syntax and sequencing skills, combined with healthcare industry and practical knowledge, the Software Engineer produces, delivers and maintains application and system software providing comprehensive business solutions to the healthcare industry. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 4 years of experience as a software developer. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures necessary to build software products. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision from the Manager of Software Engineering. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Must have exceptional programming skills and be willing to code full time; i.e., candidate will take responsibility for implementing finished products based on algorithms developed. Must have a thorough knowledge of Object Oriented Programming principles, and should know how to use common design patterns. Knowledge of test driven development is desirable. Should be self-directed and a strong team player. Responsibilities include: • Participating in all aspects of the software development process including application design, coding, testing, and deployment. • Maintaining documentation of workflow and following the general guidelines of Object Oriented Programming practices. • Designing database tables and MS SQL stored procedures. • Supporting production systems and resolving related issues promptly. 1. 4 years experience working with software development. 2. Minimum of 2 years experience working with C# and Visual Studio. 3. Minimum of 2 years experience coding with .net technologies. 4. Prior experience (preferred): coding and designing with Object Oriented Programming techniques; MS SQL Server, SQL, and stored procedures; coding with JavaScript; writing and deploying using asp and asp.net; and html, xml, and web design. 5. Bachelor degree in computer science or technical background. 6. Team-oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks at once, and meet deadlines. 7.
