Teradata Operations, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer, III: Design, code & test enhancements for database software. Use Parallel Database Environment kernel driver. Write feature, design, & test specifications. Plan & manage large projects. Establish tech direction for cmplx feature dev. Perform rel reqs, perform & problem anlys. Perform competitive analys of competing database mngment sys & recommend product changes to close competitive gaps or enhance advantages. Analyz cmplx software in parallel processing environment & design test plans for new features. Mentor jr. software engineers. Know Windows, UNIX & Linux operating sys. Understand relational database logical & physical design concepts.

Requires: MS (or equiv) in CS or rel & at least 3 yrs exp w/ C programming language, Windows, UNIX & Linux operating sys, design & construction of relational database engine software & cmplx software in parallel processing environment. OR Ph.D. (or equiv) in CS or rel. OR BS (or equiv) or rel & 5 yrs exp w/ C programming language, Windows, UNIX & Linux operating sys, design & construction of relational database engine software & cmplx software in parallel processing environment.
