Software Engineer - Growing, stable company - Downtown Seattle

Envision Telephony is a dynamic software organization located in downtown Seattle. We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Development Team as part of the Integrations group.

In this role you will create telephony integrations with a wide variety of telephony hardware.  This position works independently following detailed design specifications and documentation to develop complex high volume commercial integrations solutions.  You will work as part of a project team in planning, designing, developing reviewing and revising architecture and code.

 

Required Qualifications:BS in Computer Science or Equivalent Experience;Minimum of four years in Software Development ;At least two solid years of recent experience in C++ and Java;Experience in network socket programming;Object-oriented software design experience;Experience with profiling, analyzing, and optimizing performance;Experience in one or more of the following: MFC, Multi-threading, COM/DCOM;Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-15%Experience working independently with customers Experience with PBX or Telephony preferred.

 

Responsibilities:Travel to customer sites to ensure integration success.  Interact with customers both verbally and via email.Use Envision's development methodology and procedures to design code in order to meet documented specifications.Analyze and resolve software faults written against assigned productsWork directly with Test Engineers and the Customer Support department to identify and understand issuesCompose and write functional and design specs for assigned product features to serve as written guides for coding and testing.Analyze various reports, product usage and source code to determine appropriate code changes.Take an active part in future architectural planning around telephony integrations and Envision's commercial product suite.
