Software Engineer, Engineer IIIDescription: Software Engineer to support the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Discrete Event Simulation (DE Sim) Task Order, on the JRDC contract at Schriever AFB, Colorado. Developing software to model various missile defense systems or to maintain the simulation infrastructure. May also develop software to facilitate planning and set-up of wargame initialization data and development of post-game analysis tools, including database setup and maintenance. Tasking will include requirements analysis, software planning, design, software development and testing, software process improvement, and other software engineering activities as required to support DE Sim development activities. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. BS Computer Science or equivalent experience. Preferred Requirements: Knowledge/experience in several of the following: missile defense domain knowledge, Java, CMMI, or parallel computing.
