Software Engineer C/C++ Linux Telecom

Develop telecom protocol software that will enable the emulation of communication interactions over new and existing telecom networks.

· Work with telecom protocols and state machines to develop software utilizing the C, C++, and Java programming languages on the UNIX/Solaris and Linux operating systems, to emulate communication interactions over new and existing telecom networks
· Work on project assignments and software development activities that extend throughout the total product life cycle, which includes analysis, design, coding development, testing, maintenance, enhancement, debugging, and some graphical user interface and embedded systems development
· Work with software development managers, customer application engineers, software development and hardware engineers
· May conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
· May provide mentoring to junior engineering staff members

Communication
Strong verbal and written communications skills to be able to communicate well with co-workers and vendors

Education and Experience:
· BS/MS degree or equivalent working experience in software development
· Experience in telecom or network communication protocols
· Experience with UNIX or Linux, C and/or C++
· Compiler, OS, embedded and GUI experience a plus
