We have a fantastic opportunity for a Software Engineer in our Richmond, VA office. This position is responsible for maintenance and development of healthcare EDI software. The scope of this responsibility includes the design, coding and testing, as directed by his/her manager throughout development cycle. The Software Engineer will participate in the design specification to determine programming solutions.Responsibilities Include:• Interprets and participates in the creation of Design specifications and Use cases;• Performs Coding and unit testing of software projects with high quality deliverable;• Produces technical specification from functional design specification;• Participates in tasks of higher level of complexity;• Provides feedback on design and standards;• Participates actively in code reviews;• Debugs and maintains existing code;• Acquires or increases knowledge of one or more Transaction areas;• Will participate in documentation process;• Responsible for completing other work requirements or tasks that are requested by management when necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the department or company.Qualifications:Education & Experience Requirements:• BS Degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other relevant combination of training and experience;• Specific skill certification may be required;• Ability to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision• Solid logic and organizational skills;• Good verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to find solutions to multifaceted programming problems.• Experience in using the following programming languages and tools.• 3+ years software development experience including:• 1+ Yrs .Net, C#• + Yrs. ASP/Web Development• 1+ Yrs. Transact SQL & Stored Procedures• Experience in the following areas a plusVB6.0,Delphi, an understanding IIS 6.0Misys Healthcare: Experience, Solutions, Results
