Software Engineer - 1105225

This Software Engineer will play a development role within the Online Customer Service and Research team. They will be responsible for the creation of quality web based software components that are used by Fidelity's retail and workplace customers. The development Lead will work closely with the project manager, systems analysts, architects, devlopment leads, and other developers to design, build, test, and deliver the features that make up Fidelity's internet experience.

The Online Customer Service and Research team supports multiple customer facing web pages and tools for our Retail and Net Benefits customers. These include the Online Account Opening product, Bill Pay Services, Online Account Servicing, Statements, Stock Plan Services and Money Movement. This is a fast paced group that is using cutting edge technologies to create powerful tools and a best in class user experiences for our customers using Java based technologies.

Primary Responsibilities
Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Determines and develop approaches to solutions.
Performs technical and functional analysis for projects
Works under minimal direction
Represents technology solutions to our business partners


Qualifications


Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or preferred
2+ years experience in software development
Skills and Knowledge
Strong software development skills using Java technologies in a service oriented architecture
Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems and formulate recommendations
Understanding of the waterfall and agile software development methodologies
Ability to work on multiple efforts simultaneously
Strong communication skills
Ability to work well within a team of developers and collaborate with others
