Beechwoods Software, Inc has openings for talented Linux embedded software engineers with C, C++ and Java skills.

Beechwoods provides software and software services for embedded devices that transport and display audio and video content. We are conveniently located one block from North Station in Boston.

Job Description:

This position is a full time permanent position. A successful candidate must be able to comprehend large and complex code bases quickly. The position requires strong coding and debugging skills. Some travel may be required.

Required skills:

5+ years of C, C++ and/or Java development.

Strong Linux experience. Linux kernel/driver experience preferred.

Experience with resource constrained and embedded environments.

Able to understand and debug complex systems.

Must be a self starter and able to do the job with little or no supervision.

Experience with new hardware a plus.

Experience with MPEG/H.264 or other audio/video transports a plus.

BS/CS or equivalent
