Software Developer III (C#)

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Work closely with a team comprised of Software Developers, Business Analyst, and Quality Assurance staff to design and implement next generation products based on the Microsoft .Net Framework for the Hospitality industry.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Collaborate with other Engineers and Analyst on design of new software Implement designs created by senior staff Work with others to ensure a high level of quality within software Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and testing Continually stay up-to-date with industry changes and bring new concepts to team Create technical documentation both at library and system level Correct defects found within product Provide estimates for work assignments Manage one’s own time against project plans Periodically work overtime to meet project deadlines Work within process to contribute to company success 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of software development experience covering full life cycle 3+ years of C# and .Net development experience on a client/server application Exhibits good communication skills, both oral and written Working experience with OO design and implementation Understanding of design patterns Exhibits strong analysis and problem solving skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent Proficient with all of the following tools:  Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio, Microsoft Visual Source Safe, and Microsoft SQL Server .NET 3.0 - Development Point of Sale system experience Experience with DevExpress control Working knowledge of fxCop Experience with Active Reports Work experience with Unified Process, SCRUM, and or Extreme Programming Working knowledge of UML and Use Cases Professional experience in the Restaurant or Hospitality industry
