·  Working as a member of the development group, the job holder will be responsible for developing and maintaining mathematical models including non-linear optimizer used in the commercial gas/oil production optimization software. The job holder will also be responsible for developing, implementing and testing new mathematical models in the software applications as per the business needs.

·  Ability to manage a technical development project and handle multiple tasks simultaneously including engineering support

·  Ability to understand engineering problems quickly and also to convey mathematical / physical concepts succinctly to petroleum engineers

·  Excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be flexible and a self starter. Able to work both collaboratively, as well as with little  supervision. Able to work in an inter-disciplinary team. Willingness and ability to learn new technology. The candidate will be expected to follow a development path to ggain more knowledge about the company’s other products and solutions.



 

Skills and Knowledge

RequiredMSc or PhD in Petroleum, Chemical or Process Engineering, Physics or MathematicsSeven (Five for PhD) or more years of experience working on mathematical modeling / simulation in a commercial software environment Fluent in Fortran, C, c++  and Mathematical modeling

·  PhD degree with 2-6 years experience
