Software Design Engineer in Test: 
We use the latest Java, .Net, Flash, and Business Objects technologies to build our software applications.  This causes the testing environment to vary greatly.  There is a strong focus on web testing, database testing, automated testing, manual testing, and ad-hoc testing is a critical skill/mindset for any tester at Mantis.

Required Skills:
Database experience (Oracle or SQL Server)
  -Inner and Outer joins with multiple tables
  -Understand the difference between a trigger and stored procedure
  -Should feel comfortable extracting information from databases, given only a connection string
Create Test Plans and Test Cases
Ability to Ad-Hoc test anything
C# or Java
Test tools development

Set up a testing environment from scratch
Understand and communicate highly-technical concepts in simple terms
Work well in a team environment
A Break-It mentality
Ability to prioritize
A relentless commitment to excellence
Ability to work productively with little or no supervision or direction

Preferred Skills:
Experience leading a team
