Software Build Engineer InternDepartment: Information Technology Reports To: Director of Software EngineeringLocation: Bellevue, WA Primary FunctionQuantum Intellectual Property Services seeks highly skilled, motivated and experienced Software Build Engineer to provide on site, fully dedicated services for our client Intellectual Ventures. Our environment is an n-tier .NET environment where the Build Engineer is primarily responsible for following build documentation and installing builds into multiple environments. For defined projects, this position will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of build documentation for testing, staging and production environments.Intellectual Ventures (“IV�) www.intellectualventures.com is a privately-held, invention investment company based in Bellevue, Washington. Essential Job Function • Manage builds and deployments for development and test environments• Work with project managers to ensure that environments are refreshed and available for testing and training. • Develop and maintain build scripts to support automated build processes with the help of Systems Engineers• Ensure changes and version status information is available to those affected• Implement and maintain security access controls in the SQA environments• Assist in physical and functional software configuration audits• Assist in periodic and event driven reviews to SCM activities with the technology managers Skills, Education and Experience• Actively enrolled or having recently completed degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or demonstrate equivalent training or technical experience.• Knowledge of .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server• Understanding of development process and environments, compliers and debuggers• Experience creating and maintaining scripts to automate build process desired• Source code management in a product like Visual Source Safe desired• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills• Energy and willingness to learn• Ability to work independently, usually without supervision.• Ability to think creatively, work under pressure and demonstrate strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail & works well in a team environment.
