This is your opportunity as the Software Automation Quality Assurance Manager to create and implement solutions that ensure the continued quality of our products, and to lead and mentor a team of system integration/functional testers and analysts.
As our Software Automation Quality Assurance Manager in Fairfield, CA your in-depth understanding of load/stress testing and benchmarking will allow you to have great success implementing testing strategies and solutions at Copart Inc. You will work with other MIS managers and staff to deliver quality software products that include web services, applets, handheld devices, web sites, and the core vehicle life cycle system. Reporting to the Director, Software Quality Assurance, it is your responsibility to ensure that software products are fully tested before the final QA phase.
Responsibilities
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of systemfunctional/performance testers and analysts
• Direct load/stress performance (both manual and automated) testing for Copart software products and systems.
• Evaluate/approve testability of requirements documents
• Develop, manage, and execute test strategy, test plans, and test cases
• Distribute test coverage and execute status reports
• Manage defect life cycle reporting
• Coordinate testing with development and QA teams
• Plan staff resource needs by project
• Ensure testing staff is cross-trained on Copart products
• Mentor and motivate staff by instilling creativity, positivity, and teamwork
Qualifications / Experience
• BA/BS degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years hands-on management of software quality assurance teams
• 2-4 year’s software quality assurance experience with a focus on automated load/stress testing
• Prior experience using/implementing Software Automation tools
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Detailed understanding of the test management life cycle
• Development and maintenance of a test plan repository.
• Proven track record of delivering quality products
• Strong data collection and analysis skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid understanding of SQL/relational database concepts, and client-server concepts.
Plusses:
Visio, UML, HTML, JavaScript, Java, XML, EDI, web services, SQL, DB2, iSeries / AS400, and RPG are plusses.
