Description:

 

High growth security start-up seeks a Server Development Engineer is responsible for the implementation of new product features. This position requires a technical ability and problem solving expertise along with experience working within a large java client-server web based product. Duties include design, implementation, testing and documentation of new features and products. Additional responsibilities include assisting customers and support personnel in resolving issues.

 

Responsibilities:

 Design, implement, document and test new featuresCollaborate  with support to solve customer issuesMaintenance and debugging of existing codeCreation of product documentation Ability to develop and test code for large client-server applicationsReview requirement documentation and create detailed designs to meet requirements

 

Engineering Qualifications:

 Strong knowledge of Linux operating systemJava programming including web based applications Understanding and use of protocols including ssh, ldap, corba, and snmpStrong SQL database experience.General understanding of networking design, implementation and securityCreation and review of internal documentation used by Support

 

 

The ideal candidate will have:BSCS or BSEE degree and/or equivalent3+ years experience in programming Demonstrated experience in project managementExperienced working on large Java applicationsStrong organizational and analytical skillsStrong communication (verbal and written), presentation, and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated experience in trouble shooting complex problemsTravel may be required
