Experience working on finance-related software (especially experience developing a trading system, either for in-house or commercial use) is a strong plus. Our candidate will be seeking the excitement and challenges of operating in a true start-up and ready to fully participate within a high commitment, lean, aggressive team.


Domain Expertise: Clear understanding of client server architectures, related design patterns and how to use/leverage the open source community and software.Position Responsibilities:As a team member you will have an opportunity to work on the design and implementation of the server components that are a central part of the trading platform and participate in the entire life-cycle of the product. A significant part of your work will be integrated into our open source project. You should have an experience and ability to evaluate different technologies and architectural/design options and understand as well as articulate direct and indirect impacts on system integration, interoperability, as well as scalability, flexibility and maintainability of the system. In addition, you will be involved in custom development work for client implementations. And yes, you will also work on unit and functional tests. Candidate Requirements and Experience:The successful candidate will have 5+ years java development experience and 5+ years developing distributed, asynchronous, low latency scalable systems. In addition, the ideal candidate will have: Strong OOD/OOP skills and design patterns knowledge Working knowledge of Ant, Maven, Spring framework; experience working/contributing to an open source project is a strong plus Excellent debugging and testing skills Experience with measuring and tuning system performance and capacity modeling is a strong plus Prior experience operating in a lean, team-oriented, fast-paced environment Background/experience
