Senior Web Software QA Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Web Software QA Engineer who is as passionate as we are about creating our revolutionary pen. This is an ideal position for someone who thrives in collaborative start-up environment, adapts quickly and has a passion for meeting technical challenges under aggressive deadlines.Responsibilities:Testing of web services and web applications. Working closely with engineering and product marketing teams to review and understand functional requirements. Participate in software requirements and implementation design reviews. Develop test plans and specify test cases to be implemented. Recommend appropriate QA tools for developing, running tests, and analyzing results. Develop and maintain test plan and test case framework and templates. Execute manual and automated tests and report and analyze results. Assess and report severity and priority of problems found during validation cycles, by considering all angles of the problem space: customer perception, functionality, usability, performance, etc. Ability to guide, mentor and transfer expertise to junior team members. We strive for growth! Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Web QA and Automation in complex Windows desktop applications and Web Application Deployments (UI, community and store). Must have a solid understanding of modern software validation techniques and best practices with a focus on automation. Must have excellent analytical, debugging, and problem solving skills. Ability to design test strategies, extend infrastructure to support testing needs, and perform entire end-to-end system tests. Full software development lifecycle (SDLC) QA experience and understanding of the bug lifecycle. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact creatively and achieve results in a dynamic small company environment. Experience using one or more of the following tools: Quick Test Pro, Test Complete or equivalent tools Technical Skills: HTML, SQL, CSS, Apache, Soap, XML RPC, AJAX Experience with automation script programming as well as familiarity with at least one major programming/scripting language other than JavaScript (e.g., C/C++/C#/Java, Perl, Python). Test Case Management software SVN or other equivalent version control software. Nice to have, but not required:Load testing experience a plus. Internationalization experience a plus.
