This initiative is called Autodesk Unified Online Experience (UOX). Among the goals are to improve self-service capabilities, so that customer/partners can easily locate information, use their Autodesk products effectively, conduct transactions, and resolve problems efficiently. The overall objective of UOX is to unify the customer's/partner's view of their relationship to Autodesk with a portal interface that gives quick and easy access to vital information. The scope of the online properties includes the corporate website (with 33 regional sites in 19 languages), portal sites for registered customers and online tools for our reseller partners. To support these properties we have an enterprise-class web content management system for which you will also define new features and functionality. As Senior Web Application Analyst you will ensure that new features and functionality developed will effectively meet the precise requirements of the global business and that features are developed in a scalable, secure, and extensible fashion. This will be primarily be accomplished by defining technical specifications from business requirements and through validation with a cross functional team. The specifications are an authoritative software documentation artifact for the Development and QA teams and an integral part of our agile process. Specifications are based on a thorough understanding of the system and application landscape, in many cases comparing AS-IS functionality and processes with the desired business requirement, consulting with the development team, and then writing a comprehensive technical specification. The Senior Web Application Analyst will lead joint application development sessions and interface with multiple development and product management teams. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As a Senior Business Analyst you will be a kind of "product designer" for our web applications. You will help create and maintain the various web portals and services for which the team is responsible, as well as the administrative and publishing tools with which they are run. Communicate with internal staff involved in website production and administration to understand their work processes and how to optimize them and eliminate pain points. Develop an integrated set of functional requirements which can be developed as a set of unified, global applications which are localizable, extensible, scalable and maintainable. Define and document detailed use cases, sequence diagrams, and functional requirements from which development and testing can proceed. Partner with User Interaction Designers, Usability Experts and Visual Designers to review and provide input to the design the end-user experience. Work closely with developers during the development cycle to ensure the functional requirements are implemented as documented, and adjust as necessary. Work with developers and test engineers during the QA/testing cycle to answer questions regarding desired functionality and facilitate the resolution of defects as they are identified. Support the rollout of new functionality, including hands-on system administration, assisting with end-user communication, training and support during a transition period, and updating system documentation to reflect the new designs or functionality launched. REQUIREMENTS 5+ years experience designing and documenting web applications that solve practical business problems. Ability to gather, document and prioritize business requirements based on feedback from a variety of different business users. Should be able to provide samples. Strategic, analytical thinker that can translate diverse business needs into the most efficient and extensible technology solution that is achievable within time and resource constraints. Excellent ability to lend clarity to projects by clearly distilling complex technical concepts and appropriately articulating key points to a wide range of different audiences.
