Senior Technical Web Analyst

The responsibilities of the Senior Technical Web Analyst include:Perform hands-on analysis of large volumes of transaction and customer level data Develop working prototype reports and models that query/join/transform/render data from multiple data sources Serve as subject matter expert of current and future web analytics databases and tools that the DMAG team relies on for analysis and initiates ways to leverage these datasets to solve hard business problems Work with (current and future) web analytics vendors and/or internal partners to assess new capabilities/features, monitor quality of work, and plan for future technical/business requirements Work with DMAG Web Analysts and their stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and project plans Presenting and delivering quantitative and qualitative insights, and recommendations to key decision makers Understand marketing business problems and how web/data analysis can support improvements in marketing performance Requires:5 years of experience as a technical professional in the web/internet industry Proficient in SQL and SQL Reporting Services Experience working with web logfiles and experience with web analytics tools like WebTrends and Omniture Proficient in campaign analytics/reporting tools like Atlas Media Console, MSN Ad Reports, etc.Experience cleansing, manipulating, and transforming data Strong documentation and communication skills, particularly with technical audiences Some experience using SAS and/or SPSS preferred Adept at performing basic statistical analysis, such as calculating statistical significance, distributions, etc.Demonstrated collaborative and teamwork skillsEducation: Degree in Database Administration and/or Statistics desired Microsoft offers an excellent benefits package to full-time employees including medical, dental, vacation, employee stock purchase plan, and 401k, plus some great extras including: our 24-hour nurse line, stay fit program, product discounts, and paid infant care leave.
