Senior Technical Project Manager (Implementation)

Job Overview: As a Senior Technical Project Manager for the Extended Client Services team, you will be a senior technical resource and subject matter expert on Concur Travel & Expense. You will independently fulfill functional, technical, and project management roles in the implementation and support of Concur products. You will manage the re-implementation of existing Concur clients, resolve escalated implementation and support issues, and manage large scale conversions for clients moving to new Concur products and platforms. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally to assist in identifying new products and features to be released based on client needs. You will also support organizational readiness by assisting in training implementation and support teams on new and upcoming products and features.Responsibilities: Leads moderately complex Client Services technical and client related projects that generally have been assigned a medium to moderately high corporate priority and risk. Provides subject matter expertise and technical expertise in areas including, but not limited to product implementation methodologies, project management, risk identification/mitigation, and other areas of expertise based on readiness needs. Analyzes and researches planned or proposed impacts or changes to Client Services. Develops or participates in the development tools, processes, guidelines, approaches, white papers, and methodologies to address client service Account Management projects.

Acts as a liaison between Client Services and other teams such as Research and Development, Product Marketing, Concur Service Central, and Hosting Operations to address readiness needs and implementation concerns. Facilitates, coordinates and monitors knowledge and client readiness information delivered by Client Services resources. Works with each manager to help deliver, facilitate or coordinate training for existing and new members of the Client Services team. If needed, makes presentations to senior-level management teams and clients representing the development of project objectives, status, project scope, risk identification/mitigation, project deliverables, timelines and/or resources. Evaluates project life cycles, results achieved vs. results expected with respect to client expectations. Ensure projects are completed on time and with in budget and scope. Provides expert assistance as mentor or coach to consulting resources, project support staff and business clients as needed. Attends industry-related conferences and/or training programs as needed based on budget availability. May occasionally provides subject-matter expertise and technical expertise to department teams and clients. Completes other activities and duties as needed. Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies.Qualifications: Education, Experience & Training required: Four-year degree or equivalent experience; Technical Degree Preferred. At least 2+ years of in depth experience with Concur solutions, such as support or implementation of Concur products. 6-8+ years experience in relevant technical positions. Ability to pass a background check. Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Intermediate to strong SQL programming ability, including tasks such as inserts, updates, deletes, writing complex SQL queries and statements, and reading and writing stored procedures. 2+ years in Consulting, Implementation, or related field with project management experience. 3+ years of experience with expense or travel management applications. Experience with software as a service (hosted) preferred. Experience developing manual procedures, and supporting curriculum development and training efforts. Process Review and Development
