Position overview
Endeca is seeking experienced, talented technical consultants to join our Professional Services team. Every member of our team utilizes unique skills to create groundbreaking, world-class applications for high-performance, high-value, interactive information access. We’re looking for people who thrive on technical and business challenges, who are willing to learn and teach alike, who think the impossible is an ambition, and who want to build on their talents and help lead Endeca to our next level of technical and commercial success.
This position is located in our Reston, VA office.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Web-based applications of the Endeca Information Access Platform for our customers around the world
- Participate in the full lifecycle of a project, from sales and requirements definition through application and integration design through hands-on development and tuning, testing, deployment, and support
- Solutions are typically built with Java/JSP, .NET, ASP/COM, and XML, but you may be called on to learn and use other languages and platforms
- At time you may be called on to invent completely new ways to leverage the Endeca Information Access Platform for new markets and verticals
Qualifications:
- Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with a full scope polygraph (lifestyle).
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related area
- 7+ years experience building data driven Web-based applications
- Disciplined approaches to designing and developing applications and strong client-facing verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of information storage and manipulation techniques including relational database practices
- Prior experience with search engines, object databases, data mining, OLAP, business intelligence tools, or network performance behavior a plus
-Willingness to travel up to 20%
