Responsible for the engineering, configuration, installation, maintenance and upgrade of the local area network (LAN) and/or wide area network (WAN). Provide technical support to various departments and users with regards to the LAN/WAN. Serve as a liaison with vendors and other third party providers. Operate under moderate supervision.

                    Essentials:

· VMware ESX environment support, both VI3 and Lab Manager

· SAN Configuration and Management

o EMC, Hitachi, NetApp, Compelent, Xiotech

o Navisphere, Snap, Thin Provisioning, Virtualization, P to V, Plate Spin

· Enterprise Data Backup System experienc

o Backup Exec, Net Backup, PureDisk, Commvault, Data Domain

· Citrix Presentation server (Citrix CCEA certification)

· Windows 2003/2008 server support

· Strong Active Directory knowledge; DNS, WINS, DHCP(MCSE 2003 certification)

Desired:

· Support and administration of

o Exchange server 2003/ 2007

o Microsoft Sharepoint/ TFS

o SQL Server 2000/2005

o Blackberry Enterprise Server

o LIVE/Communicator

· Strong Cisco networking equipment support including Catalyst LAN switches, routers and firewalls ( ASA / PIX) and management of a multi-site global data network(Cisco CCNA and CCNP certification)

· VOIP system support

                    Required:



· Web application management and support IIS + Apache

· Batch/VB/Perl/Power Shell scripting

· Packaged software application management and support

· Experience with multiple flavors of UNIX

         o Linux, SuSE, Red Hat, OpenBSD, Solaris, HP-UX, SCO

· Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or related field or comparable experience

· Minimum of 5 years experience in a Windows client/server environment

· Strong skills in the following areas: attention to detail, verbal and written communication.

· Meet or exceed all service level agreements

                            · Strong technical communication and documentation skills Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM Standards and Practices
