Senior Solutions Architect

Our Client, the world's premier measurement company, providing core electronic and bio-analytical measurement solutions to the electronics, communications, life sciences and chemical analysis industries, is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect for their Enterprise Business Solutions team.  In this role the SSA will be part of a high performance team chartered to deliver the ERP and CRM applications and solutions across the Enterprise. This position has a clear understanding of the business (including enterprise goals, objectives and business processes) in order to create and maintain the Enterprise Solution Architecture (ESA) and to ensure the ESA is properly aligned with business goals. Responsibilities: Manage the governance of Architecture within the EBS function in IT In this role you will: * Set technology directions that enable the operation and success of EBS organization within IT. * Provide leadership and direction by translating business strategy into a technology vision to support these strategies. * Work with others to ensure that proper architectural disciplines are understood and applied. * Ensure that periodic technology exchanges occur in a timely fashion to feed strategic and tactical planning. * Perform the role of internal consultant to help utilize IT's current technological capabilities and help further the capabilities through timely introduction of new technology and tools. * Act as a resource to educate the internal IT teams and the IT leadership team on strategic choices in available technologies. * Mentor technical leads.You will also perform technical analysis and evaluation of new technology tools. * Maintain currency on relevant technology trends. * Identify candidate technologies for R&D or pilot efforts. * Anticipate future needs of IT and EBS organizations and impact they may have on technology architecture and develop and maintains a network of contacts that can provide information.Qualifications:Minimum 10 years of increasingly responsible IT experience and demonstrated proficiency in at least one of Oracle, Siebel or SAP platforms.- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of business and IT counterparts- Track record of understanding and translating business requirements into IT solutions- Strong experience in delivering practical and specific technical solutions in a vague and new environment.- Experience participating in complex, enterprise-wide projects and working with diverse teams in multiple locations- Experience developing project plans/timelines for small and medium sized projects- Experience in an Enterprise technical architecture role preferred- Strong demonstrated collaboration skills, actively creating and maintaining productive and participative working relationships with others. Seeks out the perspective of others to gain insight into a situation. Actively engages and includes others who can provide contributions to the task, required- Experience in dealing with industry forums like OAUG, ASUG, ADMC- Experience with the complexities of cross-functional issue identification, prioritization and resolution- At least 5 years of experience in technical or program lead role- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills- Ability to mentor and develop less experienced team members, providing training and guidance as needed.
