Senior Software Engineer - UI and Applications

 

This position will be responsible for designing and implementing the user interface of Teneros’s products. This role will largely focus on the UI and applications development of Teneros’s managed appliance. Additional responsibilities include working with Product Marketing to understand product requirements, and coordinating activities with other engineering teams.Major Responsibilities Hands on design and implementation of new features, Creation of functional and design specifications. Development of Unit tests, and input into QA test plans. Close coordination with Product Marketing and QA .Ideal Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing, from concept through multiple supported releases, high availability internationalized web applications. They will have been involved in implementing several different web applications and exhibited ownership of the product from a software engineering standpoint.

The ideal candidate will have had experience with software development in a startup environment and be able to accommodate interrupts in an evolving development process.Key Selection Criteria

The ideal candidate for the Senior Software Engineer will meet, or exceed, many of the following criteria: 7+ years of software development experience. 4 experience designing and implementing user-friendly web based applications. More than 3 years of experience with most the following technologies: IIS ASP.NET 2.0 and ASP.NET 3.0 using C# as code behind Java scripting, HTML, DHTML, Power shell, AJAX. Windows Forms, Smart Client Application development Visual C++ Microsoft technologies  Experience in developing on Windows. Excellent communication skills. Experience in developing I18N, L10N compatible applications is desirable. Experience in developing solution for Microsoft Exchange and Share point is a big plus. Bachelor’s degree ideally in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.  Ideal Personal Characteristics Technology Savvy – The ability to come up to speed quickly on new technologies relative to software in complex, non deterministic systems environment.
