Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Job SummaryThe MathWorks, makers of MATLAB and Simulink, is the worldwide leader in technical computing software. We are a privately held company with over 1800 employees located in Natick, MA.The MathWorks seeks a Recruiting Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing and mentoring professional recruiters and implementing effective recruiting strategies in order to attract, screen, recruit the best and the brightest candidates. In addition to recruiting for specialty positions, you will lead a cohesive team of spirited recruiters dedicated to innovative and progressive recruiting methods in support of The MathWorks rapid growth and strategic direction. Channel your team's individual talents and creativity into a successful and respected recruiting organization within The MathWorks. And have fun doing it.Responsibilities Develop solid knowledge of the marketplace and its constant evolution Identify and implement new recruitment initiatives to increase recruiting effectiveness Provide guidance to hiring managers and recruiters in working with placement agencies, preparing job descriptions and advertising for open positions Employ various methods of sourcing including direct, internet recruiting, blogging, third-party relationships and our Referral Program in order to further develop, promote and maintain a proactive, cost-effective recruiting strategy focused on the creation of a pipeline of candidates Develop metrics to determine recruiting trends within the company and the job market Identify and present necessary training programs for recruiting staff development Work closely with the Foundation organization to ensure recruiting and retention programs are closely aligned and implemented. Qualifications BA or BS degree required 10+ years of professional recruiting and 7+ years of management experience. Corporate experience a must. Hands on approach and the ability to interact successfully with all levels of employees and management. Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Ability to have fun at work and have a sense of humor Creative recruiting and sourcing strategies PC Skills: Word, Excel and Powerpoint Experience Strive to continuously improve recruiting process within our organization.
