We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join the Tiger development team in our Raleigh, NC office. This position is responsible for performing moderately complex testing tasks requiring planning, scheduling, and testing to assure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. Responsibilities Include:• Create formal Test Plan documents and Test Cases, and performs test execution following standard QA methodologies to ensure the delivery of quality products to all clients • Execute functional, application, and regression tests; includes both positive and negative scenarios in test suite• Create a traceability matrix of each test case back to functional and technical requirements• Research and develop an understanding of the business requirements for the product features being tested, including how the users use the features and possible impacts to user workflow• Communicate with product developers, business analysts, and technical support specialists regarding issues found during test cycle• Write and execute test cases based on review and understanding of both requirement documentation and technical specifications using approved Misys tools and methodology• Provide estimates and scoping of level of effort for the QA cycle, based on project documentation• Troubleshoot software problems; anticipate, research and identify root causes and resolve problems; escalate issues as appropriate • Develop Test Plans based on approved Business Requirements, functional and technical specifications and Test Strategy • Participate in Review Meetings involving Test Plan, Functional Design, and Technical Specifications • Define and prioritize defects found during testing cycle• All other duties and responsibilities as assignedQualifications:Education & Experience Requirements:• BS Degree in computer science, related discipline, or equivalent experience.• Experience with software development life cycle, testing methodologies, quality control, and quality assurance• Typically requires 5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role, or 5+ years with direct Tiger product experience• Solid knowledge of current Quality Assurance methodologies, best practices, and toolsets• Must be fluent in Microsoft Desktop applications, including Word and Excel, and should be familiar with the Windows operating system • 2+ years experience with Mercury Test Director / Quality Center, QuickTest Professional or similar test management/automation tools preferred• Experience working in the Healthcare Industry is a plusMisys Healthcare: Experience, Solutions, Results
