Kronos is a privately held company and was founded in 1977.Kronos Incorporated IT department is looking for a Senior Programmer/Analyst with experience in database development; Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based integration design and development, and application development. Responsibilities would include, but not necessarily be limited to, development, documentation, and unit testing, and support and administration of integration and application components. The ideal candidate must be able to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team of analysts, developers, and other technical personnel with a strong focus towards meeting the needs of business management and the end-user.The well rounded candidate must also be a self learner, independent, and be able to deliver projects on time and with superior quality. Candidate should be willing to undertake assignments involving unfamiliar subjects and demonstrate an aptitude to learn quickly with little or no supervision.Strong database skills in Oracle (9i or 10g) and/or SQL Server, and SOA based integration experience are a must.Job requirements:– Responsible for the analysis, design, development, unit testing and implementation of application, database and integration components adhering to all IS Development team standards. – Estimate development activities and create detailed work plans where required. – Develop detailed technical specifications for all development initiatives. – Work in conjunction with area technical managers, business analysts, QA personnel and release engineers to deliver a quality product for the business. – Assist and/or participate in training opportunities. – Assist in daily production monitoring and support for assigned applications and/or processes. – Assume production support of all developed code as required by the business.
