Senior Programmer Analyst
This is a full time position for a senior programmer/analyst position in the Information Services Department at the School District of Osceola County, Florida. This position reports to the Director of I/S.
Education and experience qualifications: Associate in Science degree (computer or business-related) plus four years of verifiable experience. (Note: An additional two years of experience may be substituted in lieu of the AS degree)
Required skills: Microsoft SQL Server-related experience and DBA skills. Must have excellent interpersonal skills; be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people ranging from users to administrators. Must be able to easily multi-task many responsibilities.
Other desirable skills: ability to write stored procedures, data analysis and OLAP cube development, Microsoft Analysis Services, scorecard development, ability to generate SQL-based reports using Microsoft Reporting Services, Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server or Windows SharePoint Services, ability to develop or integrate a custom web part, Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Identity Integration Server (MIIS).
Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (37.5 hours / week) Minimal overtime required on occasion.

School Board paid contributions in the Florida Retirement System for the employee and vested after six years. 403b Tax Sheltered Annuity participation available. Vacation days are accrued at the rate of one day for each month of service after a 90 day probation period. Sick days are accrued at the rate of one day for each month of service beginning immediately upon hiring. Employees have 12 paid holidays throughout the year.
