Digicon Corporation, established in 1985, is a full-service Information Technology Integrator and Provider servicing Network Engineering and Software Development to both government and commercial customers. Digicon employs approximately 300 employees throughout the Washington metropolitan area, as well as several other major cities across the nation.
We are currently in search for a Senior .NET Engineer to work at our Headquarters office in Herndon, VA.
Develop patches, fixes and enhancements to the Joint CERT Database (JCD), Joint Threat Intelligence Database (JTID), DoD CERT Incident Database (DCID) and upon authorization by the Government, deploy approved changes/upgrades to the associated databases. Conduct such analysis as required to ensure end user acceptance of the application set interface(s), outputs, and overall usability.
Develop an installation guide that describes the installation steps of all the components and data conversion of each release. The installation guide will include, but not be limited to, describing a new installation of the application and the upgrade of an existing application.
Develop a technical solution that provides a common operational method for distribution of the application set data. The result of this effort provides a capability for fusing and combining all-source intelligence, threat, and incident data then disseminating the resulting information to all authorized users and customers. Creating tools to analyze and/or to visualize incident data from the JCD, JTID, and DCID databases.
Develop a service oriented API for multiple customer interface with other tools and systems. Enhance existing web services for the JCD and DCID interfaces. Web development support may include design and development of web-based tools for enhanced network visibility and defense.

Required Skills:
C#, Visual Studio .NET, Cognox SDK, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Web Services, Section 508 Accessibility Standards, Infragistics Version 3, XML IDE, .Net Framework 2.0, SOAP, VAM.
Desired skills:
Experience working in an environment that requires with DoD-approved architectures, programs, standards, and guidelines, such as Global Information Grid (GIG) Information Assurance Architecture, Joint Technical Architecture, DoD Architectural Framework, Net-Centric Operations and Warfare Reference Model (NCOW-RM), Net-Centric Data Strategy, DII Common Operating Environment (COE), and Defense Information Systems Network (DISN).
