Senior Marketing Programs Manager, Global Demand Generation Group

The Senior Marketing Programs Manager role in the Global Demand Generation team is responsible for developing and implementing strategic, integrated marketing plans for the organization on a global scale.  This position will combine various marketing tactics, including e-mail marketing, web, direct mail, events, thought leadership vehicles, and “guerilla marketing” tactics in order to generate the appropriate amount of pipeline and won revenue to meet the company’s ales objectives.  The right candidate must have strong experience generating leads and be obsessed with results.  


It is imperative that an individual in this role understand the product capabilities and translate them into compelling value propositions that differentiate the company’s offerings in the marketplace.  The ability to write and communicate effectively is essential to deliver campaigns that key in on customer pains and compel them to learn more about Borland’s solutions.


The Senior Marketing Programs Manager will work cross functionally with marketing operations, corporate communications, and product marketing to create comprehensive plans that align with organizational goals.  This role will liaison with the telesales and field sales organizations to understand the market requirements and determine the effectiveness of marketing campaigns to generate conversations with their most sought after accounts.  This position will be accountable for lead targets, lead quality, conversion, program performance, and marketing spend as key measurements of campaign effectiveness.


The ideal candidate will be energetic, creative, enthusiastic, intelligent, analytical, and eager to take on new responsibilities.  This position requires a hands-on individual and a leader who can take projects from concept through implementation and has a proven track record of managing and delivering multiple successful lead generation campaigns to prospects and internal databases.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Drive the strategy, development and implementation of multiple demand generation programs targeting prospects in key roles, segments and verticals.

• Build complete programs that manage lead creation and progression through the marketing lifecycle- inquiry to qualified prospect to  sales opportunity.

• Develop lead goals, establish objectives and forecast results.

• Determine the right mix of campaign elements with the most compelling and creative calls to action.

• Create, manage, and refine campaigns for maximum response; design and execute integrated lead generation campaigns and track and analyze their effectiveness.

• Adopt a test-and-learn approach to new programs, constantly driving for higher conversion and ROI.

• Work with Product Marketing, Corporate Communication, Inside and Outside Sales to create new offers and content to support integrated campaigns.

• Manage external relationships (agencies, vendors) as needed to develop and successfully execute programs.

• Work with creative services to create specific campaign elements.

• Deliver regular activity, ROI, and performance reports, manage the tracking infrastructure for each program and summarize results with recommendations.

 

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required.

• 7-10 years of direct marketing and programs management experience.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinker with ability to draw conclusions and determine strategies based on data.

• Strong knowledge of online, ecommerce and email marketing, testing and ROI analysis and developing complete integrated campaigns.

• Proven ability to deliver projects on time while achieving or exceeding results within budget.

• Detail oriented, self-directed and results oriented; skilled at both planning and hands-on execution.

• Ability to quickly develop and execute programs while multi-tasking. Programs will overlap and as such, must be able to prioritize and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with online marketing – banners, direct response advertising, enewsletters, etc.

• Experience copywriting/editing – emails, landing pages, sales letters.

• Can-do, roll-up your sleeves attitude, team player and strong leader.

• High level of professionalism -- must thrive on teamwork and overcoming obstacles.

• Proficient with Excel, Word, Power Point; a functional understanding of Web technology.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.

• Proven ability to measure and analyze the end-to-end success of a program.

• Experience using FrontPage, Dreamweaver or HTML skills a plus.
