The Sr. Manager of Field Marketing Manager is a high-profile and significant contributor to Eloqua’s success. This role will report to the Director of Field Marketing and support a global field sales force by developing campaigns, collateral and sales support infrastructure required to close new business.

 

Responsibilities:

 

With the Director of Field Marketing and other internal teams, the Sr. Manager, Field Marketing will plan, manage, execute and measure a variety of marketing programs designed to help the field sales force manage demand and close business. These activities may include but are not limited to local and regional events, campaigns, collateral development, reference management, messaging development and user groups. This role will be the “go to� person for salespeople that need help closing business. As Sr. Manager, Field Marketing, you will:

 

§  Regularly interface with the sales team, partners, and vendors in the field.

 

§  Be an expert in our market dynamics, our buyer profile, their key pains and the products, services and solutions that we provide to solve business challenges.

 

§  Customize corporate demand generation campaigns and content for the field as needed.

 

§  Conduct local market and competitive research, and provide this information to corporate marketing regularly.

 

§  Become a sales information resource for marketing best practices knowledge and content.

 

§  Collect, aggregate, analyze and distribute all field marketing program data and share it with the Marketing Operations team on a regular basis.

 

§  Represent Eloqua at external and internal events and meetings, as needed.

 

§  Manage to the budget

 

§  Assorted tactical and administrative functions, as needed.

 

 

Requirements:

 

§  5-10 years of marketing experience within a sales and/or channel organization. Software marketing strongly preferred

 

§  Strong communication/relationship management skills. Candidates must be comfortable working with experienced sales reps to help bring active opportunities to close. 

 

§  Ability to translate market needs and corporate objectives/strategies into actionable marketing activities

 

§  Track record of developing portfolio of marketing collateral, email templates, slide decks, ROI calculator tools, customer case studies for use by sales. 

 

§  Detail-oriented, organized and capable of deriving meaningful information from disparate data

 

§  Excellent project management, prioritization and people skills

 

§  Ability to streamline processes to improve the quality and performance of the team

 

§  Energetic and creative approach to work

 

§  Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office products and with Salesforce.com

 

§  Excellent written and oral communication skills; marketing copywriting experience a plus

 

§  Ability to travel up to approximately 25 - 50% of the time
