Senior Events Specialist (Troy, NY or Lanham, MD) Pitney Bowes Business Insight is seeking a Senior Events Specialist (Troy, NY or Lanham, MD)   Pitney Bowes Business Insight (formerly MapInfo and Group 1 Software) is the new software division of Pitney Bowes, Inc. This division develops software to provide customers with innovative solutions in Location Intelligence, Customer Data Quality/Data Integration, Communication Intelligence, and Customer Communication Management (CCM).  The company's solutions are utilized by more than 3,500 organizations worldwide in numerous vertical markets; such as utilities, financial services/banking, retail, telecommunications, insurance and public sector.    Pitney Bowes Business Insight is currently seeking a Senior Events Specialist to implement a wide variety of conferences, shows, and internal events in a dynamic fast paced department.  Enthusiasm required! This position may be based in Troy, NY or Lanham, MD.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The Senior Event Specialist is responsible for planning and implementation of event marketing programs including creating & managing strategies, tactics, activities and materials for the purpose of creating an effective event. Responsible for execution of event marketing programs to support marketing managers & other events which may include trade shows, several aspects of user conferences, product road shows, employee events and sales incentive programs. Emphasis of this position will be on coordinating content, agendas & promotional campaigns for annual user conference with approx 600 attendees. Strong understanding & experience with most event marketing skills including:  budget management, negotiation, F&B coordination, site selection, contract negotiation, exhibit & sponsorship management, marketing & promotion, AV, content development, speaker selection & coordination, event staging & production and measurement & reporting Education/Work Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar field of study required Minimum of 5+ years of event marketing experience required (technical industry preferred) Some travel required     Specialized Knowledge and Skills: CMP or CMM preferred User conference and trade show experience preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills Highly organized individual with attention to detail Strong sense of urgency with ability to multi-task Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and manage cross functional teams   Pitney Bowes is an EEO/AA Employer
