Senior Development Engineer: Computational Fluid Dynamics

SIMULIA is the Dassault Systèmes brand that delivers a scalable portfolio of Realistic Simulation solutions including the Abaqus product suite for Unified Finite Element Analysis, multiphysics solutions for insight into challenging engineering problems, and lifecycle management solutions for simulation data, processes, and intellectual property. As we continue to develop our suite of scalable applications, we are seeking a Senior Development Engineer with experience in CFD methods development, turbulence modeling, and fluid-structure interaction. The work environment involves close collaboration within a development team, and among teams that are diverse geographically, technologically, and in the code development processes employed. The primary responsibilities for this position include: Â· The development/extension of software components for solving time-dependent and steady-state incompressible, low-Mach and compressible flows that span a diverse range of industrial applications.· Development and verification of advanced turbulence models that include LES/VMS, RANS, URANS and DES within an unstructured-grid framework,· Integration within a Multiphysics framework for coupled fluid-solid interaction problems. The successful candidate will be highly-motivated with the ability to work well with others in a team environment and will have effective communication skills.Requirements: A PhD in Engineering or Applied Mathematics is preferred, however, candidates with an MS degree and an exceptional track record will also be considered.  Strong academic credentials and references are required.  Experience with the implementation of turbulence models, wall functions, and a strong working knowledge of finite element/finite volume methods for computational fluid dynamics is necessary.
