Position Summary
The Administrative Information Services Department of Princeton University's Office of Information Technology (OIT) seeks a Senior Developer to join its Enterprise Resource Planning group. The Senior Developer is part of a team-based support of PeopleSoft's Campus Solutions system. The successful candidate will develop new, and modify existing, customizations, apply patches and fixes, design and develop interfaces between Campus Solutions and internal and/or external systems, troubleshoot operational application issues and implement appropriate solutions, and create appropriate documentation. In addition, the Senior Developer is responsible for migrating changes to production environment. As part of the Campus Solutions team, this person will work with Database Administrators and provide application support to customers.
Essential Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a developer of PeopleSoft applications, and a proven track record in developing and testing enhancements and interfaces. The successful candidate must possess the following:
- Knowledge of, and experience with PeopleSoft Human Capital Management or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions version 9, PeopleTools 8.48 or higher, Query, PeopleCode, SQR, SQL, Integration Broker, App. Engine, Component Interface.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- The ability to work with business analysts in specification development.
- A willingness and ability to work occasional off hours.
- The ability to juggle many projects and competing priorities at the same time.
- The ability to effectively communicate with, maintain positive working relationships with, and provide service to, individuals from diverse backgrounds having varied levels of technical proficiencies.
- A genuine customer service-oriented approach to conducting work.
The final candidate for this position must successfully complete a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience tuning SQL statements.
- Experience with Web Services, XML, Java.
- Experience with Tivoli Workload Scheduler.
- Knowledge of Reporting tools like Crystal, Cognos.
- Experience in Higher Education.
- Knowledge of Stress testing/load balance tools.
