Senior Client Software Engineer - Contact Center Applications

ShoreTel Inc. is a seeking highly motivated software engineer to enhance our distributed contact center platform. The candidate must have a passion for working on distributed architecture products.

 

The functions of the contact center include distributed call control, routing, call center, and IVR. The candidate must have the ability to write software that will run on a system that supports 99.999% availability. If that is the kind of challenge you like, then this is the place for you.

 

The versatility to learn and master new technologies is required. The candidate must be a self-starter, have the ability to learn new applications and technologies quickly, and be a proven developer with strong design, implementation, and debugging skills. It is also required to have excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.

 

The candidate:MUST have 5+ years of development experience.Must have a minimum of 5 years experience developing multi-threaded windows applications.Must have demonstrated ability to add new features to a large complex production code base. Must have strong experience in C++ development using OOD, templates, STL, MFC/ATL, COM, and exceptions.Strong Java development experience, a definite plus.Must have experience with .NET and .NET related technologies (ASP .NET, C# etc).Must have experience with real-time GUI displays, and usability analysis.

 DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:Experience in Contact Center Development, and Computer Telephony.Experience with web development (JSP/servlets, Javascript, DHTML/AJAX, CSS, XML etc.)Experience with IMAP, POP, and SMTPExperience with SQL and interfacing with databases 

EDUCATION:

 

BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or a related field is required.  Masters Degrees are desirable.
