Senior Campaign Insights Manager

In this role, you will help drive Microsoft’s efforts in marcom accountability and help ensure that the company stays on the cutting edge of learning and insight. You will participate in campaign teams and will be responsible for providing research and data insights to guide campaign planning and development.  You will also own the development of measurement and analysis plans for key campaigns, partnering closely with a cross-functional virtual team including both internal marcom discipline leads and external agency representatives.  You will drive the execution of that plan and manage the campaign performance reporting.  As a key member of the campaign team, your focus will be on facilitating the use of performance data to guide optimization discussions and decisions.The ideal candidate will be skilled at facilitating strong partnerships with internal and external constituents, be willing to take calculated risks, have strong analytical skills and depth of experience in digital and integrated marketing. Position RequirementsBasic Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in marketing communications creative development research (both qualitative and quantitative), communications measurement and/or execution. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.The ideal candidate will also have familiarity with Microsoft Office SharePoint and Microsoft SQL Server and a strong working knowledge of industry standard advertising, online and direct marketing metrics.  Agency experience is a plus, as is software industry experience.To be successful, you must be able to work with creative agencies to drive insightful research that will lead to inspired advertising.  You must also be able to find insights in campaign performance data that lead to practical actions that improve our marketing efforts. You will need the ability to apply process rigor to measurement of online and offline activities, including setting clear objectives, identifying key performance indicators and producing clear reports.You must be highly organized and detail-focused, have solid communication and presentation skills, cross group collaboration experience and be able to assimilate new ideas and information quickly. You must also be able to interact effectively with senior-level leaders, business managers and executives.
