Senior Business Systems Analyst
The Senior Business Systems Analyst will implement and administer internal business applications to ensure solutions support the company's business goals and objectives.The Senior Business Systems Analyst will work closely with the Finance and Professional Services areas to deliver new technology projects, and support ongoing tactical requirements.
Responsibilities: • Analyze business applications and provide recommended solutions to improve and streamline business processes.
• Design, develop, modify and test internal application systems to support business needs.
• Perform analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design, development, configuration, documentation, testing, training and administration of certain business information systems.
• Develop reports to assist management in making business decisions.
• Plan, execute and lead special projects in conjunction with internal customers.
• Assist with end-user training and associated documentation.
• Maintain technology expertise, keeping current with evolving systems analysis, programming and database technology.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience
• Four (4) plus years experience as a business systems analyst
• Four (4) plus years experience supporting an ERP or back office/financial application required
• Thorough knowledge of basic programming, systems analysis procedures, and relational database design
• Thorough knowledge of systems application development methodology
• Excellent communications, writing, and editing skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse population groups
• Strong project management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Previous experience with Microsoft SQL Server required
• Previous experience with report development tools such as Crystal Reports or Microsoft Reporting Services required
• Previous experience with Softrax application strongly preferred
• Previous experience with Changepoint PSA application strongly preferred
• Previous experience with business intelligence tools preferred
• Previous experience programming in scripting languages (e.g. ASP, Javascript) desired
• Prior or current software industry experience desired
