Senior Business Analyst (EDI)

We are currently seeking a 5 month contract Senior Business Analyst for our Fortune 500 Insurance client. This position can be located in either the Chattanooga, TN or Bloomfield, CT markets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day to day technical analysis as relating to EDI and medical claims functions. Tasks include but are not limited to ·  Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements. ·  Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results.·  Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. ·  Not only possesses full technical knowledge of most phases of systems analysis, but also considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.  Requirements for Consideration·  Experience in EDI Transactions and/or Medical Claim adjudication experience·  Excellent problem solving, analytical skills·  Ability to assess business requirements and define traceable, understandable application requirements for complex system solutions ·  Excellent communication skills.  ·  Ability to communicate with multiple layers within an organization -Significant project experience.·  Demonstrated experience working directly with multiple user groups, ·  Knowledge of full project life cycle activities, strong facilitate and leadership skills.·  Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline·  6+ years experience in the IT field To Apply for This position:Please send a copy of your resume to EricSpence@spherion.com or apply directly through Monster.
