Senior Applications Coordinator - Research Administration

The Sr Applications Coordinator provides dedicated support to the unique applications found within the research community.  The analyst works with members of the research community and other department staff to analyze short and long term informational needs of the Department and to develop recommendations and solutions to meet those needs.  Maintains and enhances existing applications and interfacing systems, develops and/or installs software, and troubleshoots software problems with customers and vendor. Customer orientation, training, and development of staff within research community  to their respective software support systems is an essential responsibility.

 

Bachelors in Management Information Systems or Computer Science or related area with at least three years experience developing, implementing, and troubleshooting client server applications or, equivalent combination of education and experience.  Knowledge of healthcare and/or hospital environment, as well as medical terminology desired.  Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, Structured Query Language (SQL) concepts, and relational database concepts are required.  Must have good written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
