Senior Application Security Consultant

The role is primarily accountable for delivering exceptional information security consulting services to Leviathan’s customers.Strong technical skills across multiple security disciplines are required, with emphasis on application security and security risk management practices. Excellent oral and written communications are also mandatory. This position will be expected to act independently, as well as collaboratively with customers, peers, partners, and managers to ensure technical excellence and customer satisfaction. The role is also expected to lead small teams across multiple engagements, and be responsible for mentoring and leading other team members within the broader consulting practice. Required Qualifications: • Five or more years of experience conducting penetration testing, source code reviews, and binary analysis • Two or more years providing IT consultation to customers• Strong understanding of regulatory and industry standards (includingISO17799/27001/2 and PCI DSS)• Able to multi-task and deliver consistently on deadlines• Experience developing and implementing information security vulnerabilitymitigation strategies• Strong mentoring and leadership skills• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with expertise and ingenuity• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Able to communicate information security vulnerabilities and associated risksto diverse audiences (both technical and non-technical)• Strong understanding of Object Oriented programming languages such as C++,Java, and C#• Proficient with a wide array of database, web server, operating system,networking, and security technologies• Time and resource estimation experience a plus• Experience in the development and the assessment of cryptographic solutionsa plusTravel Requirement • Up to 25% per year as needed to support engagement deliveryEducation Requirements • College degree in a technical field or equivalent experienceCertifications (optional but desirable)• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)• Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC)• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
