This key position is critical to the sale of our VeraSMART enterprise solution.  The Sales Engineer works closely with our customers, the Sales team, the Engineering Group, Technical Support, and Marketing, to identify customer needs, and define and deliver business solutions to the customer.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities:

 Working in a team selling environment in partnership with Veramark’s sales managers on sales calls, live and web demos, providing technical support and expertise as a technical consultant for Veramark’s products during sales calls.  Communicating with the customer to qualify and identify their product requirements.Write specifications based on needs assessmentsSupporting sales managers with defining the business solution for the customer, the RFP process, and ROI analysis.Providing product and technical feedback from the fieldWorking closely with technical support, engineering, and marketing in the creation of new product features and enhancements.

Education and Training requirements:

 A BS/Computer Science or Software EngineeringMinimum five years experience working in a sales support or customer support roleMinimum five years experience working in a software environmentMinimum two years experience working with telecommunications or digital network technologyExperience working with Microsoft SQL ServerMust have well-rounded skills with knowledge of  WindowsMust have an overall understanding of networks, IP protocols, routers, servers, switches, firewalls, Ethernet, IIS, web applications and VOIP technologyExcellent communication/presentation/writing skills.Must be willing to travel
