GENERAL SUMMARY:

 

Generate revenue through the sale of carrier aggregator gateway services to content providers and mobile specialists, as well as the sale of large-value software licenses, primarily to large media/entertainment companies.  Operate an organized, high level sales approach to strategic accounts in key markets and negotiate commercial contracts.  Ensure that appropriate scopes of work are created for deals, client expectations are well-managed, and detailed product expertise is imparted to clients/prospects.

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

 

A)  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

1.  Prospect, qualify, negotiate and close deals in an aggressive time-frame

2.  Develop account selling strategies

3.  Develop business cases to analyze deals

4.  Define product and service solutions that meet client’s needs

5.  Drive relationship building process at multiple levels between clients and Motricity

6.  Work with internal teams to ensure organizational understanding of product strategy and needs

7.  Analyze performance of accounts and report results

8.  Lead complex contract negotiations

9.  Work directly with existing clients and operations team to implement Motricity products

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Works in a normal office environment with frequent travel required.  Telecommuting optional.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 

 

A) ESSENTIAL:

 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in sales & marketing or other related discipline

 

Experience:  5-7 years direct sales experience in the mobile/wireless industry, or closely equivalent high-tech industry; experiences with performing against a sales quota

 

Knowledge:  mobile content, mobile messaging platforms, SMS and premium SMS, enterprise software, mobile storefront (Web/WAP)

 

Skills: strong analytical and project management skills; demonstrated oral and written communication skills; expert at targeting and building relationships with senior executives at clients/prospects; highly self-motivated, self-sufficient, and able to work effectively with internal Motricity groups; ability to think strategically and creatively about both marketing and business issues and be capable of driving an idea from inception to marketplace success;

 

 

B) DESIRED:

 

Education: MBA or equivalent work experience

 

Experience: Past positions within media/entertainment arena, specifically in the mobile content or mobile messaging/marketing arena; past positions within a wireless carrier; past positions within a content provider or mobile specialist organization.

 

Knowledge: Specific understanding of mobile content provider/aggregators and/or mobile marketing

 

Skills: Business case modeling (primarily with Excel) to drive decision making, internal approvals, and creative deal making during negotiations.
