Position Description: This position is for a highly driven sales/lead generation professional seeking a career with an innovative high tech company, offering on-demand (Software as a Service) content management solutions.  If you’ enjoy the challenge of uncovering new business opportunities for an industry leader, then this is the job for you.

The primary task is to generate interest and identify sales opportunities within mid-market and Fortune 2000 companies by using a variety of methods, including targeted prospecting and following up on marketing-generated leads.

 

This position is a critical part of the sales and marketing  process and is instrumental in building the relationship between our company and customers/prospects.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

o    Prospect, develop and/or qualify leads

o    Perform outbound cold calling to generate leads and/or gain commitment for attending SpringCM technology briefings/web-seminars

o    Rate leads per established criteria and using the CRM solution pass off to field sales reps as appropriate

o    Responsible for building sales pipeline by meeting and exceeding lead generation and opportunity creation quotas

o    Create and maintain a database of contacts, both  current and future customers

o    Provide follow up to on-demand generation activities

o    Establish account presence and build trust with key contacts

o    Analyze customer needs in terms of current business obstacles, identifying opportunities and scoping potential SpringCM products

o    Integrate with both inside and field sales reps to maximize prospect potential

o    Uses Salesforce.com to track all call and sales activities, and ensure this is accurate and updated at any given time

 

Requirements:

 

o    Excellent written skills, oral skills, and phone skills

o    University degree or equivalent work experience

o    1-3 years in lead qualification or outbound prospecting/sales position - software or related industry a plus

o    Desire to build a career in sales

o    Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding measurable goals and quotas

o    Outstanding relationship building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity

o    Proficiency with standard corporate productivity tools (email, vmail, MS Office Suite), and SpringCM’s customer contact system (Salesforce.com)

o    Contributed to the overall success of the sales team

o    Able to learn and understand product solutions and features quickly

o    Strong needs analysis, positioning, and qualification skills

o    Experience in a company where outbound telephone sales training has been given a plus
