GTS is immediately looking to hire a SQL Database Administrator for a contract-to-hire engagement at a client site just north of Chicago, IL.

You will be joining an infrastructure team to provide day-to-day administration of a SQL server environment running 2000 and 2005 with multiple clusters. Your specific job duties will include the following:Performance AnalysisMonitoring and TuningBack-ups and RestoresSetup and Maintenance of Data ReplicationMaintenance and Analysis of Event LogsManaging Database Security
In addition to the above-outlined responsibilities, you will represent the database environment, leading all decisions made as it relates to the environment. You will also work side-by-side with the data warehouse architects, network architects and all related management in the making of these data decisions.
Technical Requirements:SQL DBA Experience (Experience should be current and include work done over the last two years, as a minimum)Work within a Clustered EnvironmentSQL Server 2000/2005SQL Server DBCC CommandsSQL Server Enterprise Manager
This position requires that all candidates may legally work as W-2 employees, without sponsorship. Illinois residents only, please, as there is no relocation assistance.
