The City of Philadelphia Office of Housing and Community (OHCD) is the City’s housing policy agency committed to strategically aligning housing and community development resources and programs through effective and innovative policy development, direction and implementation for the benefit of low to moderate-income residents.  The agency is looking for a talented software developer interested in public service to join our information technology team as its Senior Software Engineer.  The employee in this position will serve as the team’s primary expert in the research, design, development and analysis of significant software application projects for over 200 housing and community development employees.  Work will include training and instructing other information technology staff during project assignments.

 

JOB: SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

 

SALARY: $55,872 - $71,836 PER YEAR

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Completion of a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, information technology, business information systems or a related field and three years of professional experience analyzing, developing and implementing large-scale applications software solutions to business processes and client user needs, which has included experience in development tools and databases ( i.e. Microsoft .Net, SQL DB, Oracle DB, Visual Basic, JAVA, XML, HTML).  Applicants with an equivalent combination of education and experience, which has included completion of a bachelor’s degree will, may be accepted, as determined by the OHCD Human Resources Office.
