SAS Developer NEEDED!
Modis IT is looking for a Delivery Developer to work with Business Intelligence Solutions within our clients growing Information Technology organization. Modis IT, which is the 3rd largest IT staffing firm in the country has partnered with a great local company in Minneapolis, Minnesota to find an experienced SAS Developer. In this role you will be working closely with the IM analysts, business subject matter experts, business sponsors and other IM-IT (Information Management Information Technology) teams. The Delivery Developer is responsible for the development, testing and implementation of BI and SAS reporting solutions that meet all business requirements. This function also supports the IM Intake function in developing prototypes for the business team and customizing data sets to better support the delivery of business requirements. Summary· Ability to code simple to medium complexity reports using Business Objects and SAS · Designs, develops and tests system BI solution components using Business Objects and SAS· In support of the IM Intake Function, · Develops functional and visual prototypes with the business to refine requirements· Mentors business users in BI report navigation, interactions and usage · Builds prototypes and coordinates prototype reviews · Participate in estimating task effort and duration · Customizes tools and data sets for use by different types of data consumers · Assisting with designing and coding the functions of the BI application under direction of the BI architect and project manager. · Produces efficient, error-free programs in either SAS or Business Objects. · Develops and conducts unit, integration, and system test plans. · Assists in implementation of software. · Monitors and improves performance of data warehouse analytical and operational reporting environments. · Prepare applicable system documentation · Works with architects and/or technical leads to translate requirements into technical specifications · Develops and implements tools or applications for accessing and analyzing data and metadata · Participates in the refinement of dimensional models required to support specific business user needs · Participates in the development, training and support for business users · Assists in handling help desk activity in support of current BI applications· Accountable to meet the estimated hour estimates based on assumptions and scope of the effort · Stays abreast of technology, tools and opportunities and identifies ways to incorporate new tools and ideas into Prime’s development process Requirements: 1) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 2) 2+ years as a SAS developer in the Information Management / Business Intelligence domain, preferably in the pharmaceutical or health care industry 3) 2+ years experience in working with data models 4) Ability to dialogue clearly and effectively with business, IT stakeholders, testers, and developers to gain understanding and resolution. 5) Ability to quickly work through opposing views and reach clarity of understanding 6) Proven ability to document thorough technical solutions and designs. 7) Self-learner and ability to work independently. 8) Strong problem solving and business analysis skills. *Local candidates only*This position is not available to candidates needing visa sponsorship If you fit all the requirements for this position then please send all inquiries along with an updated resume and salary requirements to Steven.Koshiol@modis.com .
