CATS CO is searching for a Sales Manager and Major Account Sales Representative to work for our Client in the Detroit/Metro area.  They area a rapidly growing manufacturer of Software Solutions and offers the most comprehensive suite of 3D Manufacturing Solutions available in today's marketplace. They offer software solutions to automotive and aerospace from process planning to general assembly processes and factory simulation across all manufacturing segments.

 

Position Summary

 

Develop and establish relationships with strategic customers of our Client in assigned territory & accounts to generate & increase revenues in targeted territory & industries. Manage activities of an assigned team of Sales Account Representatives to motivate & facilitate growth.  Holds primary responsibility for ensuring customers understand, know and receive the benefits and integration of Client’s Solutions for their business needs.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Within the North American Business Operations, you will join our Client’s direct sales team in the United States working as a Sales Manager and Major Account Sales Representative for named accounts, focusing on various assigned industries which may include automotive, OEMs and other manufacturing industries. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

·  Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to secure business and identify business opportunities.

·  Supervise, motivate & monitor team performance and ensure established targets are reached.

·  Recruit & train sales team.

·  Generate & increase revenues in targeted territory through direct sales activity and work cross-Brand as well as with Channel & business partners leveraging relationships to achieve established goals & objectives.

·  Set targets and account assignments for team.

·  Initiate and close on sales activities at assigned accounts:  stimulate, encourage, establish and develop account relationships; identify business opportunities, develop value proposals and close business to include contracts and pricing negotiations, and submission of sales orders.

·  Identify, evaluate and respond to key business issues of the account and develop, present and demonstrate product capabilities and solutions to customers.

·  Develop business understanding for PLM – Digital Manufacturing and increase market awareness.

·  Introduce and integrate our Client’s technical resources and personnel to the customer to demonstrate capability, educate customer personnel and facilitate project management.

·  Maintain detailed & current knowledge of company products & services, customer needs, industry trends and competition

·  Effectively communicate with customers and deploy established sales strategies appropriately integrating resources in the sales process and implementation plan.

·  Provide accurate forecasts and timely update sales portal

·  Achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives

·  Work closely and in cooperation with entire Sales team, DS eco-system, IBM and business partners to enable growth.

·  Provide post sales leadership and development for the implementation of PLM solutions in the customer environment and teamwork with Technical Account Manager for pre & post sales issue resolution.

·  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

 

 Engineering Degree (mechanical, industrial, IT) or equivalent

·  Minimum of  five years experience as Large Account Manager in Industry

·  3+ Years Sales Management Experience

·  Established network & industry contacts

 

Skills

 

·  Consistent track record of successful sales achievement (“over goal performance”)

·  Must possess and demonstrate core competencies in technology

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

·  Must be fluent, verbal and written, in English

·  Sales background (knowledge of Customer Centric Selling techniques a plus)

·  Expertise/significant knowledge of PLM business and market

·  Knowledgeable in manufacturing, manufacturing processes, manufacturing engineering

·  Management, leadership and project management experience

·  Strong presentation and negotiation skills

·  Excellent opportunity identification, accurate forecasting, and sales qualification skills

·  Strong “team” spirit with demonstrated leadership & motivational abilities

·  Willingness and ability to travel frequently to various locations throughout the United States and Canada.
