Reporting/Analytics Manager

The Manager of Reporting & Analytics oversees the development and distribution of process measure reports, ad hoc report requests, and data process measure analytics and analysis.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Effectively manages and delegates responsibilities to the reporting team developers and analysts. Manages, when needed, external consulting partners. Provides senior management with accurate and timely reports and analysis to facilitate informed decision making. Develops effective reporting procedures and processes. Recommends and implements changes in existing policies and support functions.Experience with Cognos Data Warehouse/BI Intelcognos critical skill for the role.  Comfortable working with reporting tools Excel, SQL, etc. Updates and maintains report definitions and requirements documents. Develops future reporting needs through collaboration with senior management team. Works with the IT/data warehouse team when needed to develop future reports. Pays meticulous attention to report data quality and appearance. Communicates effectively with senior management and other departments to boost information-sharing and teamwork. Participates in executive meetings; serves on committees, task forces and advisory groups as required. Ensures that all activities and operations are carried out in compliance with federal and state regulations.



Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

 Experience with Cognos data warehouse/BI intelcognos critical for the roleBachelor's degree required; master's degree/MBA preferredAbility to take complex data and present it in an easily understood and clear format. Creative experience building and preparing reports and presentations for Senior Management. Exceptional analytical skills to resolve issues and determine effective business solutions. Comfortable working with reporting tools (i.e. Cognos). Exceptional leadership, critical thinking, organizational and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision and direction. Capability to influence decision-making and instill credibility in sponsors, peers and subordinates by meeting project milestones, deadlines and budget.



 

Preferred Experience, Knowledge and Skills

 Minimum of three to five years in a reporting or analysis-related role preferred.Background in either consulting, Computer Science, marketing, or in the education industry preferred.Hands-on data modeling or date warehouse development skills preferred.
